American Civil War Cavalry   Presented here are a complete set of parts for representing mounted cavalry from both Union and Confederate armies during the American Civil War. Included: 1x Union Captain in single-breasted frock coat 1x Confederate Captain in double-breasted frock coat 1x Musician 1x Standard Bearer 4x Trooper variants 8x variants of headwear 1x empty sabre sheath 1x Sheath with sabre 4x variants of horse tails All miniatures are supplied in supported and unsupported variants. Scale: This set of printable miniatures is supplied in 28mm (1:56) scale. Figures are 28mm to the eyeline and approximately 32mm to the top of the head. Horses are scaled to approximate a height of 15-16 hands.  Note 1: An empty sabre sheath is suppled for use with figures who have their sabre out. both variants are compatible with all figures included. Note 2: The rider upper bodies and horses are keyed to one another. There are two horses which share a pair of upper bodies - the first being the fourth trooper and standard bearer, and the second for both captains.  Note 3: The standard bearer is designed for use with paper guidons, the STL and presupported variant are both with bare flagpoles. Guidons can be purchased from companies such as Warlord Games or Perry Miniatures, or alternatively you can use a home printer and freely available images from historical researchers on the web.
