Amenhotep III

The Eighteenth Dynasty New Kingdom statue depicts a king, Amenhotep III, standing upright with an offering table in his arms, but the head and base are missing. Corners of the offering table are broken off. The king wears a beard, a wig with long side lappets and a pigtail, a broad bead collar with Horus-head terminals, and a short kilt. A back pillar bears an inscription. The offering table support is inscribed. Found in Memphis, this statue is made of quartzite, a brown material. Its dimensions are 48 cm deep, 45 cm tall, and 35.7 cm wide. It was given to the British School of Archaeology in 1913.
