On June 8, 2013, Coney Island Scan-A-Rama showcased its scanning capabilities at Danbury Makerfaire using the innovative Scan-O-Tron 3000 rig. The scans were exceptional and marked the public debut of this technology. In the future, a Kickstarter campaign for Coney Island Scan-A-Rama will be launched alongside an open-sourcing of the project's plans. Keep an eye out for this popup 3D portrait studio at various MakerFaires and Coney Island events in 2013. For more information or to order prints, visit http://www.thegreatfredini.com/scan-a-rama. Recommended printing settings include .27 or .1 mm layer height with no support, although minor trimming may be necessary.
