This is a dust cover, designed to be printed in TPU, intended for a modified aftermarket HEI distributor on an AMC 360 V8 engine. The engine was converted to a wasted spark ignition system, making the original distributor obsolete. The oil pump drive shaft remained, prompting us to modify the distributor. We dismantled it, cut the body in half, and inserted a new bronze shaft bushing into the shortened distributor body. The distributor shaft was reduced in size, and a cap was welded onto it before reinstallation. This dust cover is designed to fit snugly over the top of the shaft stub, preventing dust and fingers from reaching the rotating shaft. The "710" lettering is a nod to an old joke.
