Ambient thermometer with AAA battery. This is a case to group an environmental thermometer and a 1.5v AAA battery. It is suitable for the thermometer that comes with a probe cable and for the one that does not. These thermometers are powered by two 1.5v LR44 batteries. Both batteries are arranged in parallel so they supply the device with 1.5v. Fed up with the short battery life and the higher price of the LR44 batteries, I decided to replace them with a 1.5v AAA battery. The invention works. I still don't know how long a AAA battery will last, but it's certainly a lot cheaper than the others... and easier to find in the shops. The contacts for the battery, I made them with cuttings from a tin can lid. This sheet is coated with a varnish that prevents the conduction of electricity. You have to scrape it with sandpaper to expose the metal. There are two variants of the design; "jpo41_TemomeV1.stl" and "jpo41_TemomeV2". They differ in the holes for hanging the result.
