Ambient noise in a box
thingiverse
The original hackerspace toilet lacked a fan and had a thin door, resulting in noise escaping outside and being heard by others. In Japan, robo-toilets are used to solve this problem with soothing background noises like waterfalls or beaches. However, as a cost-effective solution, the author utilized a Buddha box they already owned. By attaching a switch to control the power, using the bathroom became a calming experience. The Buddha box was purchased from Dealextreme for $6.01. To implement this solution, the box needed to be cut and glued together.
