For my second quadcopter challenge entry, I introduced wing-like structures that seamlessly connect from the mainframe to motor support arms. Additionally, small enhancements were made. The most significant change involved creating a honeycomb support structure inside the hollowed out arm for added strength. A custom workflow was developed for model creation: propeller motor support arms were generated, the mainframe was modeled in a solid modeling program and exported as a cad file. The cad files were then imported into ZBrush where Dynamesh, a shrink wrap tool, was utilized to create the model. After reducing polycount with another tool, the model was exported as an obj file and brought back into the CAD program for mesh checking.
With this file you will be able to print amber with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on amber.
