Amazon on horseback and barbarian
myminifactory
A mighty Amazon warrior stands tall on a charging steed, locked in fierce combat with a barbarian who makes one final desperate lunge before falling. This sculpture is a masterpiece of Hellenistic art, inspired by the classic styles of the Pergamene school that flourished during the second half of the 2nd century BC. The group was originally displayed alongside another work on the same theme, discovered in 1610 and now housed in a museum in the mid-2nd century AD. This remarkable object is part of "Scan The World", a groundbreaking initiative launched by MyMiniFactory to create a vast digital archive of fully printable sculptures, artworks, and landmarks from around the globe. Everyone can access these treasures for free, thanks to this non-profit effort.
