The amazing Amazon Echo Show 8 wall mount was perfect for me to put Alexa on the side corner of a cabinet in our kitchen. However, while tightening the screw in the original design, the threads got stripped because of over-tightening. I wanted to be sure that the base was mounted securely to the arm. So I updated the design with space for an M3 nut so that you have metal threads to tighten the screw to. A 16mm M3 screw was the perfect length for me if I recall correctly.
