Amazon Echo Input Outdoor "Enclosure"
thingiverse
This enclosure is designed specifically for the Amazon Echo Input device. Its purpose is to be mounted above head level, underneath an existing structure with the Echo Input facing downwards towards the ground. The initial concept was born out of a necessity to have an Echo device located outside in the backyard. To ensure water does not enter through the holes, they are cut at an angle so that rain flows down the sides instead. Additionally, there's a double-bump cord deflector inside to prevent any moisture from entering the cord channel. Given its intended outdoor use, it is recommended against printing this design using PLA unless you plan on sealing it somehow. Even then, I make no promises regarding complete protection from the elements. My own intention is to use this enclosure for several months and monitor its performance before bringing it indoors during winter.
