NEW VERSION 4/22/2019 This print is an inspired interpretation by me, drawing from the innovative designs of Din_D and mgx. I took their concepts as my starting point, then reimagined them to create a fresh design. The print requires no hardware or supports, making it easy to produce. Measuring the Amazon Echo Dot revealed its tapered body, which is consistent with mgx's design. This means that even if your printer scaling or extrusion is slightly off, this mount will still work seamlessly and allow you to firmly secure the Dot in place. The portion of the print that wraps around the outlet allows for easy adjustment, so you can slide the Dot closer or farther from the wall as needed, reducing stress on the outlet itself. I deliberately made it a vertical mount only because having the Dot stick out horizontally could introduce unnecessary cantilevered loads onto the outlet, potentially compromising safety. In refining their design, I streamlined it and added fillets to soften sharp edges for a more aesthetically pleasing finish.
