Amazon Echo Dot Cupboard mount

Amazon Echo Dot Cupboard mount

thingiverse

This thing mounts an Amazon Echo Dot on a bathroom cabinet. The original design was sleek, thanks to its slim rim around the device. Since I needed to connect a power supply and audio cable, I remixed the original design. The audio cable is necessary for hooking up to an amplifier with separate speakers. The 3.5mm plug is quite long, so I had to create a two-piece design that differed from the original. Mounting the Dot works like this: First, assuming you have a hole in your cabinet like we do, push the part with the short end into the hole and pull the cables through (a photo shows how it looks in our cabinet). Next, the small hole is intended to allow the mount to be screwed to the cabinet. However, I didn't need this feature. Mount the Dot in the second piece and connect the cables. Finally, push the two pieces together; they snap into place. Please note that the STL files are not perfectly polished because this was one of my first designs created with Blender.
