Amazon Echo Dot (3rd Gen.) variable Mount
thingiverse
I was searching for a sturdy base for my Echo Dot 3rd gen. After printing tgj's Mount, I noticed two issues:\r\n1. The holders for the dot were too flimsy for my taste.\r\n2. In older outlets the weight wasn't supported by the socket alone, causing the dot to pull the plug out of the wall. So, I made some changes: \r\n1. I redesigned the brackets to be stronger and more robust.\r\n2. I modified the mount to allow for vertical and horizontal placement using three different M3 screws and nuts. I may also design a cover for the cable in the future. For now, I've left it out since I personally don't see an issue with it. Note: If you use the mount vertically, you can rotate the dot both upwards and downwards. Lateral rotation is also possible. Note: This design is tailored to fit German power outlets. Just measure your plugs and compare them to the STL file.
