Amazon Dash Button Case (With Stand)
thingiverse
This 3D-printable case is designed specifically for the Amazon Dash button, allowing users to either stick the sticky pad included or use a 1 mm thick spacer/foam pad to keep it in place. The back relies on friction alone to hold its position as long as it's not removed and reattached multiple times. To accommodate various printers, I intentionally left some extra space around the outside of the Dash, ensuring that if it's not secured with double-sided tape or similar adhesive, it won't rattle around. A small stand at the back allows for easy placement on a table or any other surface without worrying about it toppling over. For added stability, users may want to secure it using blu-tac or a sticky pad. I've created alternate versions with custom icons cut into the case, which serve as conversation pieces rather than actual order-placing devices. At home, these devices connect to my Raspberry Pi and communicate through a specific broadcast when they're online. I designed this case in Solidworks, including the files for printing as well as STLs. The case itself is 3.2 mm thick, a thickness that works well with my printer's 0.4 mm nozzle without causing any separation between the inside and outside of the case.
