Amazon Dash Button Case

Amazon Dash Button Case

thingiverse

This 3D-printable case is designed specifically for the Amazon Dash button. It can be used with the sticky pad included, which attaches to the inside back of the case, or you'll need a mm thick spacer/foam pad to keep it in place. The back relies solely on friction to hold its position, as long as it's not removed and reattached excessively. To accommodate different printers' shrinkage rates, I left some extra space around the dash's edges; if it's not secured with double-sided tape or a similar method, it will rattle inside the case. For optimal results, attach this case to a wall near whatever you want to control/order. I personally use modified versions at home that can hold multiple Dash buttons (check out the remixes), featuring custom-cut icons for each item they're associated with. These cases don't actually order products from Amazon; instead, they trigger a Raspberry Pi listening for broadcast signals when connected to my network. I created this design in Solidworks and included both STL files for printing and the original Solidworks files. The case is 3.2mm thick, a thickness that I've found essential to prevent separation between the inside and outside of the wall with my printer's 0.4mm nozzle.
