I've printed one file from each side. I used wood screws type 6 x 1/2" to secure them under the desk. The post-design process has taught me that my original design is not durable enough for a 2-year-old, so I'm headed back to the drawing board. Expect Version 2 - for now, let's make it thicker. I've updated the STLs with added strength and my daughter hasn't managed to rip them free from the desk yet.
