Amazon Basics clip
thingiverse
I'm just building upon a concept that has been explored by others before me. The innovative twist in this design is placing the filament grove right on the edge of the spool, where it can be easily grasped and clipped into place without needing to hold the entire spool. This streamlined approach eliminates the clumsiness of having to hold the spool and clip the filament separately before attaching it to the spool. There are three distinct versions of this clip design: * The original clip had a simple slot for the filament, but this setup posed a risk of losing the end of the filament when unclipping intentionally or accidentally. * ClipAB9 was designed to address this issue by retaining the filament when unclipped from the spool. This version still allows the filament to be automatically clipped into place when attaching to the spool, eliminating the need for a separate step. * ClipAB9b is a larger variation that caters to AmazonBasics spools of different sizes.
