A team from the Inrap is conducting a major excavation in Alizay since early April as part of an extension of the quarry by CEMEX Granulats and LAFARGE GRANULATS FRANCE. Located at the confluence of the Seine and Eure rivers, this site has been inhabited by humans since the end of the Paleolithic era until the Iron Age, providing numerous relics from Prehistory and Protohistory. As a result, over 10,000 years of human occupation are being tracked by archaeologists.
