Amanita smithiana, also known as Smith's amanita, is a species of agaric that thrives on soil in coniferous and broadleaved woodlands throughout the Pacific Northwest of North America. Amanita smithiana poses a significant threat due to its deadliness, frequently causing poisonings in the Pacific Northwest when mistaken for the edible and highly sought-after Tricholoma murrillianum.
