Amanda

Amanda is a lady born from my imagination, the first model in my bondage series. I've used Poser 4, DAZ Studio, Meshmixer, and MakePrintable.com to create her. Three-dimensional printable hair has been a major challenge for me, with Poser's old versions featuring hair similar to a carved motorcycle helmet – solid and lacking fine detail. Although primitive by today's standards, it's very printable. Unfortunately, I only have the few hair files that came with the original program. The newer hair files are highly realistic but created on soap bubble-like layers that don't print well or at all. MakePrintable.com was able to convert some of those files into less detailed but very printable versions. The ropes are a downloaded file from Reika's Prop Shop (Reika80code.com), which included the prop and pose. I used Meshmixer to cut the plane for converting her to a torso. I printed Amanda using eSun warm white PLA+ filament with a raft and supports. I've included a screenshot of Cura in action while she was printing, showing most of the key settings. I used a 1.2 shell thickness because I was concerned that some of the ropes might not be strong enough otherwise. I painted Amanda in acrylics, but looking at the photos, I see a few areas that still need touch-up. I have other models in progress that I hope to finish soon, but free time is scarce. Thanks for taking a look, and I hope you'll share some of your prints of her!
