This Thing is a Work-In-Progress, more Pictures will come soon. Distance between the X rods is 45mm Prusa dimensions, and NOT 46mm Anet A8 dimensions! My X-carriage: My remix https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3037603 My X endstop mount: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2747672 English description below. This is an MGN12H solution to eliminate the weakest point of an AM8: the 8mm rods on the Z axis. These rods are the only ones that have to withstand the direct acceleration forces of a moving mass, the X-wagon. The rods for all other axes only take up passive forces, which, generated by the accelerations of the Y and Z slides, are transmitted by the frame. I decided on MGN12H so that this mod serves as a precursor to the BLV MGN12 conversion, so the dimensions (spindle to MGN12) are also based on the BLV conversion dimensions. Since I haven't found any really suitable GT2 pulleys with good bearings, I chose the pulley/ball bearing variant. In conjunction with the supported shafts of the X-step motor, a high belt tension can be maintained without unnecessarily stressing the stepper motor bearings. Supported T-nuts: - Brass TR8x2x4 - Brass Antibacklash TR8x2x4 - POM Antibacklash TR8x2x4 - POM Antibacklash TR10x2
