AM8 Z-Axis Fine Adjust Stop

AM8 Z-Axis Fine Adjust Stop

This is just a straightforward Z-Stop for an AM8 frame. One part attaches to the vertical frame near the left z-motor and the other attaches to the motor. There are holes for securing the limit switch with screws, as well as a hole for a small M3 adjustment screw. I wrapped a tiny rubber band across the top of the adjustment bolt, crossing over the bottom portion that protrudes through the mount. The rubber band applied a continuous gentle tension that prevented the screw from shifting over time. While it's uncertain whether the rubber band was truly necessary, it gave me peace of mind. To align the switch with the bolt, loosen the switch bracket mounting screws and move the switch up/down until it is positioned so that the bolt presses squarely on the switch paddle. Update: 3/10/2019 - I revised the motor mount design to correct an STL error. Additionally, I increased the hole size slightly to make it easier to initially thread a 3mm screw into the block.
