AM8 - X 12mm Upgrade + reinforcement

It uses an additional 625 bearing to keep bending loads off the motor shaft. It's meant to be used together with my improved X tensioner: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3016345 There are files available for both 12mm and 8mm linear rods, as well as a symmetric belt arrangement and an asymmetric version where the belt sits 2mm higher. The bore for the 8mm rod was designed as 8.2mm and 12.2mm for the 12mm rod, resulting in a snug fit of the rods. **Note: This X upgrade is available with both 45mm and 46mm spacing of the X rods. Choose 46mm for AM8/Anet A8 and 45mm for Prusa-like printers.** BOM === To assemble the x axis, you will need: 1x Nema17 motor 1x 16T or 20T motor pulley 1x 625 bearing (for motor shaft support) 4x M3x30 ISO 4762 screws to mount the nema 17 2x LM8LUU or 4x 12x15x10mm sinter bearings (depending on your Z rods, 8 or 12mm) And the printed parts: 1x x-block-motor 1x x-motor-support 1x x-block right 1x x-tensioner of your choice (usage of my X tensioner is recommended which is based on two 625 bearings and a motor pulley: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3016345 ) Remix & Sources ============== There are STEP sources available in the files section.
