AM8 Top Mount Filament Spool Holder

This is a brand new design for a top mount spool holder designed specifically for the AM8. It's engineered to hold two regular 1kg spools of filament at once. This particular version simply sits on top of the printer, so you won't have to worry about bolting it in place. The creator had in mind using 5/16" threaded rod, which is slightly smaller than 8mm rod. That's what was available locally here in the US. To use 8mm threaded rod, you might need to drill the holes a tiny bit larger. The exact requirements are unknown since the designer does not have 8mm rod on hand. Also included is an STL file for wrenches, which were designed to snug up the nuts holding the spool rollers in place, preventing them from moving around. These wrenches will not tighten the nut a lot but will keep them secure. It's easier than going to get a 1/2" wrench every time you need to adjust for different width spools and they simply hang on the 5/16" rod when not in use. **Do not use these wrenches to tighten the nuts on the two end brackets. Use real wrenches for those.** WHAT YOU WILL NEED: A 24" length of 5/16" threaded rod, cut in half 20 - 5/16" nuts (to hold two spools. 16 nuts for single spool configuration) 8 - 608 bearings (4 for single spool configuration) 2 - printed spool holder brackets 8 - printed roller wheels (4 for single spool configuration) 2 - printed wrenches for spool-width adjustment
