The Safe LRS 350 Case. How This All Happened: Upgrading my AM8 with a nice power supply, I ran into a problem. It seemed that I couldn't find a case that would meet my needs. I like to tinker with my printer even when the power is on, and we all know main power can be lethal. So, when tinkering around the power supply, the main power terminals are exposed, which in my opinion is really not safe. I came up with this case, which has the following features: - It can hold the power switch, fuse, and power socket. - It fits nicely around the LRS-350-12. - It has a detachable lid using screws. - It protects the user with an additional internal safety cap. - The safety cap has a small hole for a frame grounding wire. - There's an extra cap for the nut inside the safety cap; in the event of a loose wire, it's impossible for the nearby screw to get live voltage. - There's an internal room to store excessive wire length. Additionally, there are two mounting brackets suitable for mounting the case and power supply to the AM8. Additional (Post) Printing Info: - Supports are needed when printing the main case and safety cap. - The holes of the case need to be tapped with a 4mm tap. - Some sanding might be necessary to make the case fit around the power supply. This case is fully designed using FreeCAD 0.18 daily.
