AM8 Reinforced Plates

AM8 Reinforced Plates

My 3D printed parts look a bit messy, because my acrylic Anet A8 was falling apart as I struggled to finish printing my AM8 parts. I came across several great designs in my quest for reinforcing my AM8; however, none of them did everything that I wanted, simultaneously. This remix was pretty simple in that all I really did was combine parts from other designers. If you want a simpler version of any of these parts, just go look at the other designs under "remixed from". Goals: -Improve alignment of the 2040 extrusions -Screw the printer down to a solid base (e.g. thick plywood) -Improve overall frame stability -Keep most aluminum corner brackets in place -Easy attachment for bed cable chain -Keep the cost low I used the top corner plates from here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2855523 I used this bed chain: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1915486 You will need quite a few extra M5 screws/nuts depending on your needs/wants. I just went ahead and ordered 100: M5-0.8 thread M5 T Nuts for 20 mm extrusions M5-0.8 x 10 mm Socket Head Cap Steel Screws You will still need the button head cap screws and T nuts from the original BOM. I used socket head cap screws wherever they would work and button head cap screws everywhere else. The z-braces can use the leftover M8 rods and nuts from your Anet A8. If you want to screw down your printer to a solid base, I sized the screw holes in the corner plates for #12 screws. However, it would be pretty easy to resize the hole to fit your needs. Four corner plates = 4 screws. I don't see the "Remixed From" in the new Thingiverse layout, so here are the links: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2982836 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2984618 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2855523 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3128300 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2745156
