AM8 Parts using T-Slot Nuts
thingiverse
These parts are specifically designed for AM8 remixed for T-Slot nuts, which offers a significant advantage by making it easier and more flexible to use. This modification also enhances efficiency by utilizing friction and compression, eliminating tensile force on the mounting holes area as the T-slot nut is directly in contact with the parts. The Y-Tensioner has been completely reworked, now requiring only one adjustment screw for optimal performance. The Z-Rod holder features a provision for 608 ball bearings or can be used to add constraint to the lead screws by utilizing the hole. While some might argue that this is suboptimal, it actually provides benefits when the Z movement is isolated from X movement. In my case, this setup has proven effective, allowing for smooth and free Z movements with minimal impact on X movements. There is no binding or increased motor strain, and the lead screws are able to move at least 1mm in any direction without restriction.
