AM8 Multi X Axis Mounts (17mm and 21mm for now)

The AM8 is a top-notch upgrade that has taken the Anet A8 community by storm. It's an easy, cost-effective frame upgrade that significantly improves print quality on wobbly frames. Not only is it budget-friendly, but it's also incredibly simple to install. One of the standout features of the AM8 is its versatility. Its design allows for easy modifications, enabling users to swap out different-sized beds and add a range of other mods. Plus, you can reuse most of your old printer parts, saving even more money in the process. Pheneeny, the creator of the AM8, aimed to appeal to a broad audience with this upgrade. I'm eager to help expand its reach beyond the Anet community and into new communities. This frame upgrade is a game-changer, and I believe it deserves more attention. To spread the word, let's create and modify parts that can benefit other users. The more we can recycle and reuse existing components, the better and easier it will be for everyone involved. One area where this comes into play is with the distance between smooth rods and threaded rods on different printers. I've made modifications to the rod holders, allowing for various distances to fit the frame. For instance, I've created motor mounts that use 17mm and 21mm distances, which can be used in place of the original AM8 parts. This makes it possible to install a drop-in version for the X-axis without having to buy new rods or print custom motor mounts. I highly recommend checking out the AM8 page on Thingiverse for more information: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2263216. When switching to the AM8, keep in mind that some modifications are needed compared to the original build guide. For example, the Anet A8 and AM8 both use 380mm smooth rods for the Y-axis, but the guide recommends purchasing 340mm extrusions instead of 380mm. However, the Prusa i3 uses 350mm smooth rods, so you'll need to order 310mm aluminum extrusions for the Y-axis. For the X-axis, the Anet A8 uses 436mm smooth rods, which requires three 313mm extrusions. If your X-axis smooth rods are a different length, you'll need to order three extrusions of that size instead. The Prusa i3, on the other hand, uses 370mm smooth rods for the X-axis, so it's recommended to order three 247mm extrusions. This is still a work in progress, and I'm sure some users will encounter issues along the way. However, by commenting and sharing our experiences, we can collectively find solutions and create parts that help others. As someone with only two metal-framed printers, my testing capabilities are limited, so please share any insights or changes needed in the comment sections. Thanks for your attention to this matter!
