##Electronics Case for AM8 Frame## For my AM8 frame build, I needed a nice case to house the electronics. Since the AM8 frame is relatively new and I didn't like the old versions created for the original Anet frame, I started working on my own design. This case has two versions: one for the standard Anet board and another that accommodates an Arduino Mega 2560 with a RAMPS board. The lid is identical for both versions. The USB port of the Anet board is accessible through a cutout in the top part of the frame. I designed ventilation holes as slots to complement the Meanwell power supply cover created for the AM8 frame. Although I'll create my own power supply cover, I preferred the slotted design over a hexagon cutout. Notice: The screenshots of the case do not accurately depict its position on the frame due to incorrect Z-axis stand placement in the pictures. The case will sit flush between the Z upright beams and the back frame profile. Any cables running through the back frame profile will exit under the case, allowing for direct routing into the case. To secure the lid in place, insert an M3 nut into the little cutout on the case and use a screw or thumbscrew. If your screw is too long, it will simply pass out of the back of the nut holder, which has a rear hole for this purpose. For mounting the mosfet and board, you can place the bolt through the hole in the case from outside, then insert the component and thread a nut inside the case on the bolt. This way, if the bolt is too long, it won't protrude out of the back of the case. You should be able to reuse the M3 screws from the original Anet frame for this purpose. **Update: May 22th, 2017** PapaJohn88 discovered that the RAMPS screw positions were compromised when I made the last design change, causing mounting issues with the board. The bottom screw positions were off by about 2mm, which is unacceptable. I fixed this and replaced the files. **Update: August 13th, 2017** I finally updated some of the suggested changes to the case. The RAMPS version now includes PapaJohn88's suggestions. The board has been moved rightward by 9mm, with longer standoffs. Additionally, the slots behind the second mosfet have been centered, allowing you to route the USB cable from the Arduino between both mosfets. For the Anet board, there is a new version that replaces the two smaller mosfets with one large mosfet, as requested by TwinToe and sensible for most users. This setup uses the big heatsink seen on Amazon. **Update: August 26th, 2017** Now there are two remixed lids available with fans attached. I particularly like TwinToe's design, which would have been similar to what I had planned myself. If you need a larger fan, Vaniac's design attaches a 120x120 mm fan to the lid. I want to thank both TwinToe and Vaniac for sharing these remixed lids with the community. If you're interested in installing a Raspberry Pi on your AM8 frame in a nice case, check out Pokelia's remix! It's a Rpi case in the same style as this electronics case. **Update: June 10th, 2018** Check out Jsschlat's remix, which is a complete overhaul of my case with many improvements I should have thought of initially. Consider using this remix instead if you haven't printed it yet. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2954741
