AM8 Electronics Case with 120mm Fan Cover
thingiverse
I was blown away by feenix82's design, particularly the way they handled internal cable management, but I wanted to adapt it to fit the AM8 Misumi Extrusion Frame perfectly. To achieve that, I only made a few tweaks to the tabs so they would align with the frame's dimensions. However, after printing, I realized that the tabs were slightly too thin and the screw was hitting bottom, which meant adding a washer under the screw head became necessary to prevent this issue altogether. The cover with a 120mm fan is an awesome feature, but for some reason, my printer had trouble printing the honeycomb pattern horizontally, so I ended up removing them. Interestingly, this might actually enhance airflow since it would draw more air from the sides of the case and expel it out the front instead. Either way, I appreciate that the motherboard and mosfet are enclosed within a sealed compartment, which should provide much-needed cable management benefits.
