AM8 electronics box (Prusa style)
thingiverse
Hello, this is a modified version of the original Prusa electronics box designed specifically for the AM8 printer. I was inspired by the concept of the door with hinges, but struggled to find one that could accommodate the Anet board. To fit an extra mosfet for the heatbed, it's slightly larger than the original design. You'll need 8 M3x10 screws and their corresponding nuts, along with 1 M3x40 screw and nut for the door, and 4 M5x10 screws paired with T-nuts to secure it to the frame. Instead of nylon filament guides, I enlarged the holes to accommodate a PTFE tube that I had on hand. Cable ties also help keep everything organized. No supports were necessary during printing, although I did use them for the hinges when printing them on their side. This was simply to add extra strength, but it's not required – you can print the hinges as a tower facing upwards if preferred. **Update 5/1/18:** The SD card slot has been narrowed and the USB slot widened. Additionally, some minor changes have been made to minimize material usage.
