These mounts hold a dial probe (specifically, the Clockwise Tools DIGR-0105 digital indicator) on your AM8 so you can verify that a 10-mm move on X, Y, or Z is actually 10 mm, and correct your step settings if it isn't. One mount goes on the X-axis gantry and can hold the probe in two orientations to check the X and Z axes. The other goes on the front of the frame to check the Y axis.OpenSCAD source included. The most likely customization would be to adapt the mounts to a different gauge (the body on mine is 57 mm in diameter).
