alvrn's polybot (in progress)
thingiverse
The project is a derivative of Renosis's Yazzo Polybot for a senior art assignment. It will be internet-connected via Arduino Mega for user control and monitored through a webcam. Check out this video to see more: http://vimeo.com/23274677. For the construction, acrylic bonder (sorry for the lack of proper terms) was used to melt perspex and form clevis elbows with bearings inside. The arms are made from 6/32" rods with 1/4" holes. Three NEMA 17 motors were used, but this detail should have been in the description. Last night, I tested it by mounting the motors with plumber's epoxy; unfortunately, they came loose after just three movements. Stay tuned for updates!
