Alveoli, found in mammalian lungs, are hollow cavities that form the terminal ends of the respiratory tree, emerging from alveolar sacs or ducts, and function as sites for gas exchange with blood. In these structures, carbon dioxide-rich blood is pumped into alveolar vessels, where diffusion facilitates CO2 release and oxygen absorption. In other vertebrates, different structures handle gas exchange. Anatomically, an alveolus resembles a cavity. Pulmonary alveoli are crucial components of the respiratory system in mammals. This 3D model features approximately 14,157 polygons, all made with 3 and 4-point structures. The "pods" and branches are separate parts that can be displayed or hidden to customize the appearance of the model. Although this version is not rigged, it includes several components. One material is included in the model, which is UV mapped, and texture and bump maps (in TIFF format) with a resolution of 256x207 pixels are also provided. This model is fully licensed for use in games and applications.
