I designed my own set of bushings and nuts for this spool holder, which has performed exceptionally well. It's highly adjustable to accommodate varying spool sizes. The assembly consists of two 8x14x20mm bushings to eliminate thread noise and issues from the threaded rod, two custom-made 8mm star nuts for precise alignment, and four 8mm wing nuts for secure attachment to the carriage. The nuts and bushings aren't threaded but will self-thread onto the rod with a bit of twisting. The star nuts and bushing work together as lock nuts, providing a smooth surface for spools to glide on while ensuring stable placement.
