Aluminum Sliding window Wind protection
thingiverse
In our ground floor office, we have old aluminum sliding windows that require a solution for preventing cold winds from entering through the gaps. A 3D printed part is available to address this issue, designed specifically for the bottom section of windows. For upper sections, refer to Thingiverse.com/thing:12942/. To use the part, measure your aluminum window pane width and adjust accordingly. Next, apply insulation tape (compatible with aluminum windows) to the slot, slide it into place, mark with a pencil, remove the window, fix the printed piece in place using a screw (or drill first if needed), reattach the window, and enjoy a windproof room without any drafts.
