This table was painstakingly constructed not once but twice. A previous individual who tackled this endeavor in its entirety employed 1/8" aluminum in its fabrication, only to have it abandoned because it proved incapable of sustaining a cedar surface. Five intervening years found me reluctantly drafted back into service to revive the design and successfully support the top. Substantial revisions were indeed made to the non-load bearing components, however a switch was made from the 1/8" aluminum to the far more robust 1/4", while concurrently lowering the arc, removing the four gussets at the heart of it, and subsequently rebuilding it entirely from scratch before rendering it market ready.
