My custom-designed extruder assembly, derived from thing 16164, has the fan too near the hotend, preventing use of Prusa's LED mount. To rectify this, I shortened the arms for better fitment. Printed at .3mm layer height, infill isn't a concern here. Be cautious: ensure your fan is running to prevent overheating like in this photo: http://flic.kr/p/dnHQph. Post-printing, clip the ends of the assembly for easy LED ring installation. A lighter can be used to reseal the jaws if needed. My choice of LED rings were from eBay (http://bit.ly/TXYMix).
