Aluminum foil car crusher mold

I had a similar toy when I was a kid. Now my young cousin is getting into monster trucks, so I thought he might like this one. The car design is pretty basic right now, but I'm thinking about making it more interesting later on. I also want to add a 4-bar linkage just for fun. How It Was Made I used Inventor 2016 to model the parts. - First, I made the basic car shape and then extruded it. - Next, I added draft to the sides so the part would release easily and fillets to reduce sharp edges. - Once I had the bottom part modeled, I used the "derive part" workflow to make the top (that's a great tool for making molds or parts that fit together in weird ways). - Then, I measured my foil with a caliper and used thicken/offset on the pocket in the top mold half the material thickness as clearance.
