Aluminum Flag Pole Additions

In preparation for Veteran's Day, I acquired a state flag and an aluminum pole for my daughter's school. The available stands were limited to traditional 1.25" Oak Flag Poles, so I opted for a smaller, 1" aluminum pole instead. To create two functional pieces for this aluminum pole, I designed a buttcap for the bottom end of the pole. This buttcap was attached using super glue and sanded to a smooth fit, ensuring a secure connection. By doing so, it helps keep debris out of the bottom of the aluminum pole and makes it easier to insert into the flag stand, reducing the likelihood of catching on the open end of the aluminum pipe. The second piece I created was a flag stand adapter, designed to bridge the 1.25" to 1" size difference between the aluminum pole and the standard flag stand. The original adapters provided with the pole were unappealing and left a noticeable gap between the aluminum pole and the hole in the flag stand. My Flag Stand Adapter fits snugly inside the current flag stand hole, featuring a sturdy flange on top to cover the open space and securely hold the 1" aluminum pole in place. After three iterations, I refined my design. Depending on your printer's capabilities, you may need to adjust the size of the adapter. In my case, I had to fine-tune both the internal diameter and the external diameter of the adapter tube to achieve a precise fit.
