This aluminum-reinforced Mendelmax Y motor mount features a 58mm long piece of 40x40x3 aluminum 90-degree angle for added strength and heat dissipation. Print with support, insert the aluminum, re-drill holes as needed, remove a hole for the stepper spindle, and trim excess aluminum if desired. Note that cleaning up PLA support may be necessary, and the aluminum fit is snug, so minor sanding of the plastic may be required. Scad code and location details are provided, though the code quality is subpar yet functional.
