Attempting to cut aluminum with a hobby CNC, I'm unsure if it will work but it's worth attempting. To provide heat, I'll use two 6 ohm/25 W resistors attached at the bottom. A pocket was carved on the bottom to reduce thickness to 2mm, resulting in lower thermal and mechanical inertia.
