Construct a 3D printer or CNC frame using aluminium profiles and accessories with the help of the profil3030.scad library from thingiverse.com/thing:15026. There are four demos available, including a printer-like one with a bed, a CNC with rods, a CNC with pinion & racks, and a parametric triangular frame. The latest update (2012-02-05) made the triangular frame parametric as well. To build your own framework, download the DXF or SCAD files and customize them if needed. Updates will be made available. If you wish to print your steppers, adjust the path to MCAD libraries. The list of materials and more accessories are yet to be added.
