Aluminatus Print Bed Retainer
thingiverse
I've been relying on standard aftermarket bed holders from Thingiverse for years, but I eventually gave up on them; they tend to loosen up and allow the bed to move around. The replacements I designed are straightforward components that assume you've drilled and tapped 4 1/4-20 holes in the aluminum spider. Simply use 1/4-20 hex head bolts to attach the 3D printed retainers, and you're good to go. They were created using OpenSCAD. I printed them in PETG on its side so that no support is required. Unfortunately, the object view is not ideal: I couldn't find any way to alter it on Thingiverse. These components are not adjustable when installed on the printer, so you'll likely need to adjust the section in the source code labeled "cut out the top" to align the corner of the build plate with the corner of the aluminum spider. You can also modify the screw hole at the bottom of the source code if you're using smaller mounting hardware. I inserted paper shims between the bed and the bolt heads to level the bed properly.
