I used the terrain2stl converter from jthatch.com to create this model. In 123D Design, I carved out an oval shape, then mirrored it along the z-axis to make the coastline more realistic. Did you know that Alton Bay boasts the sole ice runway in the entire Continental United States? This piece was hand-painted with care. Printer Settings: Manufacturer: RepRap Model: I3 Rafts: None used Supports: Not needed Resolution: 0.1mm precision Infill percentage: 20% Notes: Initially, the first layer was printed at 0.2mm thickness, followed by layers at 0.1mm. Printed with an E3D V6 hotend and a 0.4mm nozzle.
