Altoids Tin Panfishing Kit
thingiverse
A small Altoids tin pan fishing reel that requires no extra hardware (except for zip-ties and a stick) to put together. Should be able to catch bluegills and other small fish. There's enough room leftover in the tin to store small items like extra lures, hooks, or a small whistle. Contains a integrated print in place slide bearing that will let the reel spin smoothly. A optional printable insert with a diagram of the spool is included (last picture). Print it in wallet size and cover it in clear tape for water resistance. .f3d and .step files are available if you wish to modify it. Please note that I have not tested this out yet on real fish because it's the middle of winter right now in Michigan. I will update in a few months. Partially inspired by: www.thingiverse.com/thing:2002148 Supplies required: - Superglue - 5x 2mm wide zip ties - Fishing Line - Fish Hook - Lures - Lead Sinkers - 10-20mm thick stick (find on site) Refer to pictures for assembly. Re-upload because thingiverse decided to disappear the first one for no reason.
