Alto Trombone
thingiverse
Playable Eb Alto Trombone. Based on a King 3B tenor trombone shrunk down thirty percent, it still manages to play in perfect tune despite its somewhat mediocre sound. To assemble the parts seamlessly, use acetone or super glue and ensure a tight seal. When aligning the parts, place them on a flat surface and roll the tubes as they fuse together for absolute straightness. After fusing, sand the inner slide to make it glide smoothly inside the outer slide. A little grease will also help in this process. The screw, nut, and tapered connector parts may require some fine-tuning to work in harmony with each other. It's a good idea to verify their fit before gluing them together with the rest of the parts. Note that I did not include a mouthpiece for this trombone. Instead, you can use a standard tenor trombone mouthpiece, which are readily available on this site. 03/17/2017 - The original outer_slide_start.stl file has been deleted and replaced with the improved outer_slide_start_fixed.stl file.
