I was having trouble getting the slope of a sax neck/mouthpiece cork just right, so I created this little tool to make it a snap. Simply insert a sheet of 2mm cork (Make sure it's perfectly flat with no bowing in either direction) into the block and flip it onto a fine sheet of wet'n'dry on an absolutely level surface. Then, using a smooth back-and-forth motion, I achieved what I believe is the perfect fitting neck cork every time. It even feels better than a pro-fitted neck cork! I've got several alto mouthpieces that used to fit my sax, but some didn't - now they all fit perfectly. It's best printed with 0.1 mm or lower layer height so you get extremely small steps in the center. If not, you might end up with a wavy neck cork and an inferior fit. Give it a try and let me know what you think. Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Prusa i3 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.1mm Infill: 20%
