Alto(+8) recorder, cylindrical bore

thingiverse

An alto recorder featuring standard English fingering is distinguished by its straight bore and larger holes, requiring bigger hands. This design yields a tone similar to a Western concert flute. Listen to sound samples at the provided link. The instrument can be 3D-printed in ABS pieces that are welded together with acetone vapor; choose from full, three-, four-, five-, six- or seven-piece options based on printer height. Print with a decent shell thickness for strength and to prevent air leaks. Be cautious while welding, using gloves, glasses, and good ventilation. The design is open-source, created using Demakein software.
