Altitude Control (Z Bearing Turner) for Hadley Telescope
prusaprinters
This is a replacement for the left z-bearing for a Hadley Telescope with a geared edge that interfaces with a control wheel for one-handed predictable control of the telescope in the “up-down” direction. (I'm new to telescopes. I assume there's a more official name than “up-down”, but you know what I mean.)**UPDATE It's called “altitude”, people. ;-)It works. I'm not sure it's a huge improvement in performance, but it is pretty satisfying. I just drilled a hole at the correct distance to get a nice tight gear mesh. For a version with beveled holes and like the original see https://www.printables.com/model/331700-geared-z-bearing-remix-remix/comments by EggOkay.
